Silence in All
Silence in All is a residential interior design created for a forty-year-old house in Taiwan. The home is arranged in shades of grey, using natural thin sintered stones, glass tiles, painted glass and grey mirrors. Reflective and transparent surfaces make the narrow and long plan appear wider. The layout is divided into a garage, a public area, a private area and a basement storage area. Wall cabinets, double-sided cabinets and glass cabinets add storage and display space. Waterproofing and moisture resistant materials address the flood and damp problems of the old building.
Silence in All Residential by Wei-Han Shih has been identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Silence in All Residential earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
