Splendid Forest
Splendid Forest is a residential interior design created for a family of five. The partitions were removed, so the living room, dining room, kitchen and play area form one wide space. The open plan allows parents to watch their children without obstruction. Wood, slabs with stone texture and metal form the television wall, which extends onto the ceiling. An inclined lattice at the entrance recalls the shadows of forest trees. Lamps shaped like clouds and birds continue the natural theme. Wood flooring was selected because it can be restored by grinding.
Splendid Forest Residential by YI-XIANG LIN has been identified as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Splendid Forest Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
