Porto
Porto is a lounge chair designed for comfort and privacy at home. The chair has a large elliptical headrest that shields the seated person from visual and auditory distractions during conversations held in person or online. Converging angles and curves form a sculptural shape that embraces the body and supports the lower back. A swivel and tilt mechanism allows a full 360 degrees view and responds to body movement. The mechanism is fitted in the base of the seat and upholstered afterwards for a seamless appearance. A matching footrest completes the chair.
Porto Relax Chair by Frans Schrofer was featured as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Porto Relax Chair won the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which rewards outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
