Leafy Relaxing
Leafy Relaxing Home is a renovated apartment interior of 62.8 square meters located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The design creates a bright and spacious home with multi-functional areas and simple materials, without changing the original layout. A structural beam, formerly hidden within a multi-level ceiling, is revealed as the main axis through the living and dining areas to guide movement. Marble, wood veneer and fine metallic lines add a refined touch. A wall printed with palm leaves forms the focal point of the home.
Leafy Relaxing Apartment by Chang Thai Yu has been highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Leafy Relaxing Apartment was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
