The Scarlett
The Scarlett is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. The space uses a white background blended with gray, black and milk tea tones, while bright orange is added as an accent. A curved ceiling connects the public areas, and its overlapping lines form soft shapes that recall white hills. Rounded corners soften the edges throughout, including a curved television wall. Wooden cabinets in the hallway display a model collection. Materials include amber mirrors, titanium-plated metal, terrazzo and low formaldehyde building products.
The Scarlett Residential by Chih Hsiu Sung has been featured as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The Scarlett Residential won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
