Hongzhou Academy
Hongzhou Academy is a sales center located in the central area of Nanchang County, China. The building holds spaces for negotiation, handwork, children's activities and display. Two blocks face the urban roads at an intersection, and their offset position forms the entrance square. The design refers to ancient Chinese architecture. Aluminium sheets are joined with buckles, creating a brick-like texture on the facade. A smooth curved surface outlines the roof and recalls traditional eaves. Large glass areas and a high atrium give the interior an open and comfortable character.
Hongzhou Academy Sales Center by FENG CHENG was identified as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hongzhou Academy Sales Center received the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which honors exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
