Elite Smart
Elite Smart is a switchable film for windows and glass partitions. The film is made by injecting liquid crystal polymers and conductive polymers between two transparent conductive layers. Without power, the film appears foggy. Under alternating current, the liquid crystal molecules align and the film turns transparent. The change between transparent and opaque states is made with a simple power switch. A PEDOT conductive layer gives high transmittance and low resistance, blocks all ultraviolet rays and over 90 percent of infrared light.
Elite Smart Film by Elite Smart Film Inc. Taiwan Branch (BELIZE) was recognized as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Elite Smart Film received the Iron A' Design Award in Building Materials and Construction Components Design in 2022. The A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that celebrates excellent design of bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical components and more.
