Nanning Tanjing
Nanning Tanjing is a display center located in Nanning, China. The building group is integrated with the surrounding landscape. Curves drawn from local mountain and water forms shape the facade, and rock slices are stacked into spreading curves at the main entrance. The complex includes an entrance square, landscape steps, an art corridor, a semi-outdoor swimming pool and a health technology clubhouse. A tandem circulation route guides visitors through the spaces and reduces crowding. Open courtyards return public space to the city.
Nanning Tanjing Display Center by Quincy Li has been featured as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Nanning Tanjing Display Center earned the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which rewards excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
