Cyan Bird
Cyan Bird is a piece of jewelry that can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant. The design shows a bird standing on a window lattice. The bird is made with the traditional cloisonne technique, which gives rich and lively colors. The hollow window is made of 18k gold and is light in weight. Inlaid diamonds add brightness in the sun. The cloisonne work is made by hand through more than ten steps, including cutting, carving, wire work, glazing, firing at 800 degrees and grinding. The brooch measures 49 mm high and 41 mm wide.
Cyan Bird Brooch and Pendant by Xiaojie Hu has been selected as an innovative example of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Cyan Bird Brooch and Pendant was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2022. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which rewards outstanding design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
