Baidu App for the Elderly

Baidu for the Elderly is a mobile application that provides content and services for older users. The application uses an age-friendly design system with larger fonts, a unified feed layout, enlarged touch areas and simple wording. All content can be read or listened to. Videos include intelligent subtitles. Voice and image search allow older users to search by speaking or by taking a photo. Voice synthesis can use recorded voices of family members to read texts aloud. The application runs on both Android and iOS systems.

Baidu App for the Elderly Content and Service Mobile App by BAIDU MEUX was identified as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Baidu App for the Elderly Content and Service Mobile App won the Bronze A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design in 2022. The A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which rewards excellent design of smartphones, tablets, wearables, mobile applications, mobile games, mobile software, mobile platforms, mobile interfaces and more.
