Intangible Heritage
Intangible Heritage is a bilingual digital knowledge platform dedicated to the intangible cultural heritage of China. The platform records and shares cultural content through pictures, videos and audio recordings. The first section presents subjects such as handicrafts, opera, shadow puppetry and martial arts in the form of a scroll. Further sections give detailed entries that users open through content cards. Traditional Chinese elements are combined with a modern visual language. The platform is adapted for computers and for mobile devices.
Intangible Heritage Knowledge Platform by BAIDU MEUX has been featured as an innovative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Intangible Heritage Knowledge Platform received the Iron A' Design Award in Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design in 2022. The A' Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which honors superior design of cultural heritage projects, cultural conversation, preservation, restoration and protection projects, heritage architecture and more.
