Mix
Nongfu Spring Mix is a limited gift box created for milk tea sold through online stores. The box is shaped as a red tiger face to mark the Chinese Year of the Tiger. The eyes of the tiger are replaced by whirl shapes taken from the inner pack, which refer to the mixing of real milk and tea. When the box is held, the hands of the consumer sit right above the tiger face, which creates a playful interaction. The concept is based on a well known Chinese nursery rhyme about beating a tiger. The box is made of paper with gloss lamination.
Mix Milk Tea by Blackandgold Design (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was highlighted as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award. Mix Milk Tea received the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
