Shacheng 1976
Shacheng 1976 is a packaging design for wine bottles. The cap combines a crown form with diamond shapes. Two grape leaves wrap the lower part of the bottle, as if the wine is held in the palm of a hand. The bottle wall is transparent and gold is used as the main color. The closure joins a screw-top outer cap with a metal oak inner plug, so the bottle can be opened by hand and closed again for collection and display. The outer cap supports the inner plug and prevents leakage when air pressure rises. The design honors Shacheng, a town long known for winemaking.
Shacheng 1976 Wine Packaging by Lin Yibin was selected as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Shacheng 1976 Wine Packaging won the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that rewards exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
