Wallich
The Wallich project is a two bedroom showflat for young working professionals. Located on level 60 of Singapore's tallest building, this apartment brings to mind the imagery of a boundless sky revealed upon breaking through the canopy of a concrete jungle. The condominium's namesake botanist Nathaniel Wallich was the inspiration behind the vision of a castle in the clouds built upon the grandiose buttress roots of wise old trees. Indeed, the building is in the vicinity of many conserved shophouses with rich heritage.
Wallich Showflat by Chee Khiang Low has been selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wallich Showflat was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
