Tokaj Gin Label
Tokaj Gin Label is the bottle design for a gin produced in the Tokaj wine region of Hungary. The characteristic hills of the landscape are illustrated in a geometric manner, resembling traditional copper engravings. The dimensions and the rhythm of the pattern were studied carefully to refine the lens effect. The illustrations are screen printed directly on the surface of the bottle. The transparent liquid inside distorts the pattern when the bottle is viewed. The simple design gives an insight into the region where the gin is distilled.
Tokaj Gin Label Packaging Design by Dora Haller has been selected as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Tokaj Gin Label Packaging Design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
