Mishima Lounge Chair

Mishima

Mishima is a lounge chair built around a frame of continuous carbon fiber composite. The frame is 3D printed as a single unibody form, without joints, bolts or glue. A one leg structure supports the asymmetric seat, which can rotate a full 360 degrees. A stainless steel base completes the chair. Upholstery is offered in vionette, mohair wool or leather, and a matching ottoman can be added, allowing up to 186 combinations. The organic curves and balanced form were inspired by a stone chair in the Mishima Grand Shrine in Japan.

Mishima Lounge Chair by Arevo was highlighted as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Mishima Lounge Chair received the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
