V Stool
V Stool is a self assembly seat made of beech or integrated bamboo with acrylic parts. The design uses a new tenon and mortise structure that relies on the natural elasticity of the wood, combined with a dovetail lock. No separate connecting parts are needed, so the seat can be taken apart and put together by hand in three or four steps. V Stool measures 360 by 360 by 450 millimetres. The flat package lowers transport costs and suits online sale. The simple form is intended for young users with small homes who move often.
V Stool Self Assembled Seat by Xu Le was selected as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. V Stool Self Assembled Seat was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which celebrates outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
