Karloca
Karloca is a hotel designed as a conference and wellness centre for business travellers and families. The building has seven levels and a net area of 15,000 square metres, containing a lobby, a bar, a wellness area, a sauna area and guest rooms. Community functions share one large open space, where subtle changes of material mark the boundary of each area. A sculptural mass in the lobby serves as a Turkish cafe and recalls the local history. Raw native materials form the external cladding, and large glass surfaces keep the interiors bright.
Karloca Hotel by Zoltan Madosfalvi was recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Karloca Hotel received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that honors outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
