Eth
Eth is a single family country villa planned for a site near a river. The main building material is rammed earth, selected for its load bearing capacity, its appearance and its low environmental impact. Rammed earth also helps to regulate humidity and to keep the interior warm. Wood, metal and glass complete the design. The plan develops along a long line and is divided into two parts joined by a gallery. One part holds the main bedroom with separate access, wardrobe and bathroom. The other part holds an open living room, a dining area, a kitchen and two further bedrooms.
Eth Country Villa by Alexandru Zingaliuc was identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Eth Country Villa received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that rewards excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
