Miorita
Miorita is a three storey residential building located in Chisinau. The ground level holds commercial spaces, while the two upper levels host three apartment units. An underground parking area is placed below the building. Each level has a different polygonal shape, which gives the building a stacked and rotated appearance. The facade combines dark ceramic granite tiles with bright warm timber cladding on a ventilated system. Sharp angles and cantilevered terraces create a dynamic form within the urban setting.
Miorita House by Alexandru Zingaliuc was selected as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Miorita House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that celebrates superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
