Ronin
Ronin is a silkscreen print showing an illustrated character inspired by samurai culture. The word ronin describes a warrior without a master. The character wears black armor, a mask and a helmet without identifying marks, which express the absence of any clan. The print is made by silkscreen printing with tinted lacquer on paper of 270 grams and is framed. Each sheet measures 500 by 700 millimeters. The edition is limited to 14 copies, hand numbered and signed. The image reflects the idea that deeper roots create stronger branches.
Ronin Silkscreen Print by Dmitry Kudinov was highlighted as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Ronin Silkscreen Print received the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which celebrates superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
