Laodikeia Symbols
Laodikeia and Its Symbols is a natural stone wall cladding collection inspired by the patterns of the ancient city of Laodikeia. The collection consists of carved stone relief modules, mainly 60 by 120 cm, with 60 by 60 cm and 30 by 60 cm sizes also available. Natural stone slabs are cut on five axis machines, carved on three axis machines and then polished by stone artisans. The modules can be combined in many ways, like a puzzle, so each surface can be arranged freely. Historical patterns are reinterpreted for present-day interiors.
Laodikeia Symbols Coating Surfaces by HAKAN HELVACIOĞLU has been highlighted as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Laodikeia Symbols Coating Surfaces earned the Iron A' Design Award in Building Materials and Construction Components Design in 2023. The A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical components and more.
