Scholar’s Pad
Scholar's Pad is a residential interior design for a three-story home with a total floor area of 132.2 square meters. Each floor has a distinct purpose. The first floor holds a living room, dining area and kitchen, separated by a slatted wood divider and a collapsible sliding glass door. The middle floor contains a study area and a lounge, with light wood tones, white walls and abundant natural light. A large table seats six, and a wide blackboard allows ideas and drawings to be shared. The third floor provides a quiet resting area.
Scholar’s Pad Interior Design by Chen Chia Yu was recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Scholar’s Pad Interior Design earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
