Artistic Home Among Trees
Artistic Home Among Trees is the shared public space of a large residential community in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The interior follows a Japanese style, with wooden grilles, dark-brown hardwood and natural stone in a calm, low-profile color palette. Large French windows open the lobby to a courtyard with pools, lawns and Japanese white pine trees. Gallery hallways link the reception area, indoor swimming pool, multifunctional space and reading room. Installation artworks in local natural hardwood reflect Eastern craftsmanship. The design forms a transition between the interior and the outdoors.
Artistic Home Among Trees Public Space by Sen Yuan Lai was featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Artistic Home Among Trees Public Space won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
