Hainan Beer
Hainan Beer is a beer packaging design inspired by the landscape and culture of Hainan. The glass bottle carries relief patterns drawn from sea waves, sailing boats, lighthouses, coconut trees and seabirds, and its slim shape supports a one-hand grip. The aluminium can is printed with thermochromic ink, so a postmark pattern appears gradually as the temperature falls during refrigeration. The outer box is made of kraft paper and shaped like a suitcase. The packaging links the beer to local scenery and to a relaxed local lifestyle.
Hainan Beer Packaging by China Resources Snow Breweries has been recognized as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Hainan Beer Packaging was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
