Light and Shadow
Light and Shadow is a residential interior design for a home of 165.2 square meters in Taiwan. The home includes three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and three bathrooms. Ironwork and moru glass form semi-open partitions that filter natural light between the living and dining areas. An iron barrier also serves as storage. Walnut-colored wood covers the beams and columns, and a light gray ceiling holds hidden lighting. Wires and components are concealed, so lighting and appliances can be controlled by smartphone.
Light and Shadow Residence by Ke-HsuanYang has been identified as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Light and Shadow Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
