Galaxy
Galaxy is a modular furniture system designed for home interiors. The series includes a television cabinet, a sideboard, a bookcase, a cupboard and a cloakroom unit. Traditional arched forms are flattened and simplified, joining a classical character with a modern outline. The cabinet bodies are finished with environmentally friendly powder spraying, and the full-height glass doors are carved in three dimensions to add texture. A saturated green tone is used throughout. Storage modules can be combined to suit the changing needs of a household.
Galaxy System Furniture by Wang Lu has been highlighted as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Galaxy System Furniture received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade that honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
