Glimpse of Floating Lights
Glimpse of Floating Lights is the interior design of a showroom of 200 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. Scattered floating light brightens the exhibition room and strengthens the depth of the space. Color temperature and illuminance are controlled precisely to highlight the products. Mirror materials frame the booths, chairs, walls and ceiling, so the long display stand appears to float. A separate negotiation room simulates a home setting through aluminum doors and windows. Mirrored stainless steel round chairs serve as seats and as small display tables.
Glimpse of Floating Lights Interior Design by JIA HAO LAI was selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Glimpse of Floating Lights Interior Design received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
