Bionic
Bionic is a residential interior design for a 310 square meter mansion in Taichung. The layout unites family living with social banquets for about 30 guests. A bar 10 meters long crosses the open area and acts as the functional core, combining bar, dining table and light meal preparation. The living room and dining room extend from the bar as two end points, forming a triangular circulation route that can be divided or joined in stages. The private rooms sit at the end of the route, and the bathroom is placed in a daylit area. Marble, wood veneer and environment-friendly materials are used.
Bionic Residence by Shi Zhe Luo was selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Bionic Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
