Aeon
This work is inspired by the fable at the beginning of the first chapter of Zhuangzi's philosophy, A Happy Excursion. This sculpture is a reflection of the real world in microcosm and explores the nature of time and space, reality and fantasy, instant and eternity, which appear to be opposites but are at the same time interdependent symbiotic phenomena.
Aeon Sculpture Installation by Jung-Mei Wou was identified as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Aeon Sculpture Installation was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2023. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which recognizes exceptional design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
