Patina Maldives
Patina Maldives is a hotel resort located on an island in the Maldives. The design covers a built area of 34,500 square meters and includes every element, from the masterplan to the light pendants. Wooden structures allow a cleaner and faster construction. Natural materials such as stone, sticks and fibers are used throughout. The buildings are low and visually permeable, so the architectural lines do not break the horizon. Spaces are arranged from private to public, and open air areas connect interior and exterior. The architecture stays quiet so that nature remains the main focus.
Patina Maldives Hotel by Marcio Kogan has been identified as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Patina Maldives Hotel earned the Silver A' Design Award in Construction and Real Estate Projects Design in 2023. The A' Construction and Real Estate Projects Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of residential complexes, commercial buildings, industrial properties, Mixed-Use developments, hospitality establishments, educational facilities, healthcare centers, infrastructure projects and more.
