The View
The View is a residential interior design for a renovated six-story house of 231.4 square meters in Taiwan. The entrance and garage are placed on the first floor, while the main living areas are on the second floor, where the ceiling was removed to form a duplex space. Large floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight and garden views inside. The television wall combines marble with precision-cut gray mirrors set one centimeter apart. Cabinets are aligned with the walls to add storage and to make the long and narrow space feel more open.
The View Residence by Ya-Ling Huang was recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The View Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
