Aschon
Aschon is a hair salon interior located in an alley in the Eastern District of Taipei, covering about 100 square meters. The main salon features floor-to-ceiling decorative screen walls of rift sawn oak, accented with brass and walnut details. A rattan partition stands in front of the counter and adds a relaxed feeling at the entrance. Limed timber, rattan and woven leather give the space a tactile quality, while ceramic tiles and terrazzo stone keep the look contemporary. Contrasting greens and soft coral shades complete the warm palette.
Aschon Hair Salon by Creep Design was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Aschon Hair Salon received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
