Moss Stamp

Moss

Moss is a stamp designed for planting moss on land damaged by forest fires. The stamp holds 150 millilitres of moss and works with an incubation room that injects moss spores and nutrient solution and offers suitable growing conditions. The outlet of the stamp has a spiral shape, following the way moss spreads over ground. The length is adjusted with a button on the top, and an indicator light shows the remaining amount. Hikers and volunteers can take a stamp from the incubation room and press moss onto the soil to support forest recovery.

Moss Stamp by Jisu Lee, Eunhye Lee and Terim Bang has been featured as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Moss Stamp was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design in 2023. The A' Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which rewards superior design of sustainable projects, environment friendly designs, recycled, upcycled, bio-degradable products, Energy-Efficient appliances and more.
