Galaxy Trail X
Galaxy Trail X is a Mid-Autumn Festival food packaging design developed with a planetarium. The outer casing is a silver metal box shaped as a triangle, a form chosen for its links to space and communication. Unlike standard flat iron boxes, the top of the casing is raised by one centimetre, expressing the wish to break through the plane and reach for the stars. The inner lining replaces plastic foam with a cardboard structure fixed by interlocking tabs and no glue. The box measures 361 by 312 by 75 millimetres.
Galaxy Trail X Mid-Autumn Festival Food Packaging by Hu Jijun was recognized as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Galaxy Trail X Mid-Autumn Festival Food Packaging earned the Golden A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
