Wanzhou Yongjiang Reception Center

The project is located at the city of Chongqing which is characterized as the city built on the hills and mountains. The building is built on a very unique site which is on top of a steep cliff with a spectacular view over the city. The concept of the building is to design a building that emerges into the landscape to cope with the uniqueness of the site. Crystal glass boxes are embedded into the ground and also semi outdoor spaces are created to provide leisure atmosphere with supporting amenities.

Wanzhou Yongjiang Reception Center Culture Architecture by Qun Wen has been selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wanzhou Yongjiang Reception Center Culture Architecture received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2024. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
