Studio Family
Studio Family is a 191.4 square meter residential interior that also serves as a commercial photography space. The former office layout was reorganized, and the utility lines are now concealed to keep the ceiling height and floor efficiency. A sliding door separates the public and private areas, and the hallways are placed behind the door so the public area stays open for play and for shooting. Mobile furniture allows the space to be rearranged as needed. Reflective materials are avoided and embedded lights are installed for even lighting.
Studio Family Residential by Tsai-Wei Chang was identified as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Studio Family Residential earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
