Simple Harmonic
Simple Harmonic is a residential interior design for an apartment of 148.7 square meters in Taiwan. The layout includes a foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a dressing room. White cabinets extend from the entrance to the dining room, formed by small semicircular shapes that also serve as quarter-circle storage units. Low-saturation Morandi tones unify a mix of materials such as stainless steel, wood veneer, tiles, glass and baking paint. Rounded lines soften the low ceiling and the many angles of the plan.
Simple Harmonic Residence by Ekko Chen was identified as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Simple Harmonic Residence received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
