Uncover The Light
Uncover The Light is a residential interior design for an apartment of 181.5 square meters in Taiwan. The home holds three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a study room and three bathrooms for a family of four. Staggered grilles are placed on the ceiling in an irregular pattern to widen the low space under the beams. Adjustable wooden louvers control the strong western sunlight. Titanium-plated chiseled panels, marble flooring and wood grain surfaces are combined. The staircase acts as a transition between dark and light color tones.
Uncover The Light Residence by YAO-CHENG TSENG was identified as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Uncover The Light Residence was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
