Essence of Time
Essence of Time is a residential interior design for a 40 square meter apartment in Taipei City. The plan contains a foyer, a living area, a dining area, two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen. Unnecessary walls were removed to open the space, and white-grey mineral paint was applied to the walls and the mineral flooring. A curved wall separates the foyer from the adjoining area and acts as a visual focal point. A sequence of wood cabinets provides storage. The monochrome scheme and the varied textures follow the Japandi style.
Essence of Time Residential by Studio One has been identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Essence of Time Residential received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
