Umi
Umi redefines digital communication by transforming abstract emotions into tangible experiences, bridging the gap between digital interactions and human touch. Inspired by the paradox of connectivity breeding isolation, it innovates through physical objects that embody emotions and interactive technology that simulates touch. Umi Emotional Connection Products by Sizhe Huang was featured as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Umi Emotional Connection Products was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design in 2024. The A' Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which rewards outstanding design of websites, mobile applications, software interfaces, game interfaces, wearable interfaces, virtual reality interfaces, augmented reality interfaces, dashboard designs and more.
