Field Ode
Field Ode is the interior design of a hotpot restaurant in Tainan City, Taiwan. The multi-level space covers about 212 square meters and is arranged in the manner of a modern art gallery. Three elements guide the design: sunlight, air and water. Daylight enters through double-sided windows, plant spheres represent air, and titanium coated ripple panels suggest an underwater dining scene. Wave-like canopies of folded perforated panels shape the second floor. Eco-friendly materials create a calm grayscale ambiance.
Field Ode Restaurant by Dado Interior Design has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Field Ode Restaurant was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
