Chanba Poly
Chanba Poly is a grand theater interior located in Xi'an, China. The theater is the centerpiece of the Chanba Silk Road International Cultural and Art Center. The design is inspired by a gem on the banks of the Chan River, and the building appears as a large stone set within the Qinling Mountains. The public hall extends the flowing lines of the building and forms a visual dialogue with the curtain wall. Materials include GRG, artificial stone, metal grilles, aluminum panels, paint-free decorative panels and sound-absorbing panels. The interior joins regional culture with a modern form.
Chanba Poly Theatre by HONG Designworks was highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Chanba Poly Theatre was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
