Palette
Palette Table is a low table designed for use while sitting on the floor, inspired by the Japanese chabudai. The top is formed by three overlapping circles, and the large curved recess creates a place to sit. People can work from the front and also from the left and right sides. Two small curved lines guide the seating area and create a sense of closeness. The rounded form removes hard to reach corners. A small hole in the top plate allows small items to be passed through, and the lower top plate rotates. The table is made from oak wood.
Palette Table by Misaki Kiyuna was identified as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Palette Table was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which honors outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
