Empathy
Empathy is a floor lamp designed for homes and public spaces. The lamp is shaped to respond to the practical and emotional needs of people. A motion sensor is placed on an angled section of the frame, at a height that suits users who are seated or standing. The sensor allows the light to be switched on and the light power to be adjusted without touch, which supports hygiene in cafes and hotels. A rotary mechanism turns the light 360 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically. The lamp is made of metal and acrylic with a 14 watt LED source.
Empathy Floor Lamp by Alexey Danilin has been featured as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Empathy Floor Lamp won the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2024. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that honors outstanding design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
