Sheletsee Cushion
Sheletsee Cushion is a packaging design created for a cushion make-up series. The design draws on the smooth texture and gentle lustre of silk satin. Three flowing lines on the glossy top cover recall fluttering silk and suggest a silky finish on the skin. The top cover is made with aluminium anodizing, while the base is produced by injection moulding and sandblasting to create a contrasting texture. The flat oval shape fits the hand and opens to 120 degrees for relaxed holding. The outer box uses a traditional fabric applique technique.
Sheletsee Cushion Cosmetic Packaging by Sheletsee was highlighted as an innovative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award. Sheletsee Cushion Cosmetic Packaging earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2024. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which rewards superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
