Yu Sir
Yu Sir is an ice cream and dessert shop interior located in Miaoli City, Taiwan. The design follows a simple Japanese style that matches the calm pace of the town. The open layout avoids extra partitions, so daylight moves freely through the space. Reeded glass divides areas while keeping a sense of transparency. Southern pine, plants and non-toxic paints form a warm and fresh setting. A half-open preparation area lets customers see how the food is made. The main public space covers 84 square meters.
Yu Sir Dessert Shop by Chun Wei Tsao was featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yu Sir Dessert Shop received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
