Vintagience
Vintagience is a packaging design for a vintage Japanese sake that is aged using scientific methods. The bottle form recalls antique medicine bottles, linking the aging process with science. A luminous gradation on the label, produced by prism printing, expresses the blend of long years, scientific aging methods and the brewer's care. The letters are foil-stamped, while the symbol mark and the clock hands are embossed. The clock hands stand for the continuous passage of time during aging. The rigid box uses holographic foil that changes color with the angle of light.
Vintagience Vintage Japanese Sake Packaging by Hisamichi Kasai was selected as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition.
