Opulence
Opulence is an office interior that joins an open workspace with a lounge inspired by hotel reception areas. The three-storey space covers 4000 square feet and occupies a renovated thirty-year-old house in Penang, Malaysia. A new indoor staircase connects all three floors. An oval reception desk greets visitors, and a small meeting room behind the desk allows private talks. The ceiling is made of plywood covered with black-plated mirror stainless steel plates. Direct, indirect and recessed lighting modes suit both work and rest.
Opulence Workspace by Ben Chiaro Interior Design has been featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Opulence Workspace earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
