Rongji Private Banquet
Rongji Private Banquet is a Chinese restaurant interior located in Tianjin, China. The 590 square meter space joins traditional Chinese character with rich materials and artistic decoration. The ceiling of the public area uses staggered geometric shapes to strengthen the sense of spatial hierarchy. Gray texture paint is applied by hand to keep the tactile quality of the surface. Floors are covered with granite and walls with basalt from Hainan, stones normally used outdoors, so guests feel closer to nature. Private room doors are made of natural marble with carved text and gold strokes.
Rongji Private Banquet Space Design by Wei Ma was featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rongji Private Banquet Space Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
